Our Mission
Bump It Up San Rafael is a 501(c) non-profit dedicated to empowering young athletes ages 10-14 by providing free, accessible volleyball training. As an inclusive, community-focused program, we bridge sports equity gaps by making volleyball accessible to underserved student-athletes who may not otherwise have opportunities to participate in high-level, expensive club sports.

We hosted five free clinics at Absolute Volleyball Club, a five-day summer camp, and back-to-school and Thanksgiving clinics at Pickleweed Community Center in San Rafael.

We were able to coach, mentor, and inspire more than 200 girls this year, many participating for the first time in an organized club-level sports setting.

Forty percent of the girls we coached participated in Bump It Up more than once, demonstrating genuine trust and enthusiasm from our players and families.

We created a Student Athlete Leadership Board, which gave more female youth athletes a voice in shaping the program and bringing in unique perspectives and ideas.
