Muriel Harris
Muriel Harris is a junior at Marin Academy High School in San Rafael and a varsity middle hitter and captain. Muriel also competes for the nationally ranked Absolute Volleyball 17-1 Black team. Muriel imagined the idea of Bump It Up during her freshman year while she was commuting from school to Absolute almost every day. She recognized the financial and structural barriers that prevent many girls from low-income families in her community from participating in youth sports. Motivated to create change, Muriel founded Bump It Up to provide free and low-cost clinics, camps, and scholarships that foster inclusive environments where girls can develop as both athletes and leaders.

She brings extensive experience in law, leadership, and organizational systems to Bump It Up San Rafael!, supporting governance, compliance, and long-term planning to ensure the program remains accessible, equitable, and impactful.

Mandy Willian leads community engagement, storytelling, and outreach strategies at ExtraFood to support food recovery and food security across the Bay Area. With deep experience in nonprofit communications and mission-driven branding, she strengthens Bump It Up San Rafael!’s outreach, donor relations, and community visibility. She also brings a strong connection to the sport as a volleyball coach at Absolute Volleyball Club and Redwood High School, further supporting Bump It Up’s mission to expand access to volleyball for all youth.
